Anyone else planning on seeing (and enjoying) this movie? I know you’re out there!
Everyone has ideas. Today is the day for you to share ideas that could help someone else out!
To get everyone in the spirit… here are several original ideas of mine that I’d like to share with you!
What ideas do you have? Share yours in the comments!
One of my main goal as a parent is to raise my little girl and boy to being full-fledged geeks! I am holding my breath waiting for the day that I can watch Star Wars and Indiana Jones with my kids… but till that day comes I’m looking for movies that will nurture that inner-geek. There isn’t much out there in the way of sci-fi for the preschool set… but here’s a list I’ve compiled and wish to share with you.
Have I missed any? Make a list of your own in the comments!

Lilo & Stitch - This film is so typically Disney that one can easily forget it’s a story about aliens, spaceships, plasma guns and genetic mutations. Well it is!

The Incredibles - Until my daughter is big enough to understand Spider Man and brave enough for X-men… this awesome little Pixar movie will do the trick. It’s got hereos, genius super-villians, rockets, giant robots, a super-fast short person and a baby that has powers after all. As an extra bonus, I love the movie too!

Meet the Robinsons - Disney’s first computer generated movie (without Pixar) didn’t do very well in the theaters. It may be due to the fact that watching the first half of this movie makes you feel like you have ADHD. Once you make it past the family introduction scene, the film settles down and is not only quit enjoyable, also has a heart-touching ending. What’s the deal with this film? It’s got time travel, a self-aware robotic hat and a post-apocalyptic world. It’s perfect!

Sky High - This is one of my favorite movies. I just find it to be a lot of fun. You’re pre-schooler will too. It’s got heroes, villains and babies!

Spy Kids I & II - I wouldn’t have put this on the list except that my 3 year old daughter is absolutely nuts for these films. We don’t care so much about the third one. What’s it got for your geek-to-be? Gadgets, gadgets and gadgets… and the 2nd one has animals. They’ll enjoy it all.

Little Einsteins - I know, I know… it’s not a movie. It’s a dumb baby-show. But let’s face it… in a world of Tellietubbies, Yo-Gabba-Gabba’s, Higgley’s and Barney’s out there vying for your kids time half-hour by half-hour… this is the best thing going. Not only do your kids actually learn something while watching (my kid wants to play a harp and knows what a caterpillar turns into) they’re getting to watch a bunch of kids fly around in their very own shape changing Rocket! How cool is that? Rocket seems to be self-aware and can transform into just about anything. That’s right folks, Rocket is a Transformer! The best part is that at the end of every show, Rocket goes SUPER-FAST and giant thrusters appear out of his hind-end and off he goes at the speed of silly. Plop your kids down for a little Little Einsteins. You won’t be disappointed.
It’s a short list… what did I miss? Hit me up in the comments! I need all the help with my goal that I can get!
Check this out. Press play and do what it says. Weird.
I found 100 Pushups via Lifehacker.com. I’m taking the challenge.
The challenge? They claim that they can have you doing 100 pushups within 6 weeks.
I’m still in my first week… 2nd day… and I’ve gone from bairly doing 5 to doing 11. Only 89 more to go.
Occasionally I’ll post my progress… but what I really want to know is, are any of you up for this as well? Post in the comments and join me!

All Teen Girl Squad references aside, those who know me know that I have a soft spot in my head heart for High School Musical. It is without a bit of sarcasm that I express my excitement about the HSM3 trailer that is being shown on the Disney Channel.
You can see it yourself after the jump. (more…)
Listener Darrell sent me this photo of a boat he found in Seattle. We both agree that if JoJo The Christian Clown ever did own a boat… this is what it would look like.
