This weekend our poll asked the question: Rich or Famous? Most of you with with the rich option. I mentioned that I’d post my choice on Monday.
I’d have to go with famous over rich. I picked this long ago. I guess it’s just more important for me to have people know me than to have the cash.
“A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold.”
If you can tell me where that comes from, I’ll draw you a picture!

It comes from Proverbs 22:1

By the way, I also voted for famous because I believe the exact same thing. I’d rather build a community of friends that know my name rather than getting rich.

Prov 22:1.
But I cheated, and it’s easy:
o Select the quote (including the quotation marks)
o Option (or Alt) Space, to activate the Ubiquity Firefox plugin
o type ‘g’ then enter, and it google searches that, finding it easily
Or if you don’t have Ubiquity, copy the quote and paste into your Google search window.

I believe that it’s Proverbs 22:1! Great answer to the question by the way.

Prov. 22:1 I think…

Proverb 22:1, but I cheated. I still told you where it came from! And James, you didn’t say that you would only draw the first person a picture!
I voted rich, but I changed my mind. If I’m famous, I can just make people give me money!

Seriously though, how many famous people are there that aren’t rich?

Lots. Mother Theresa for one.

But that’s not the point. The point is if you had to choose one…
