The Nobody’s Listening blog is going to focus a bit. At first it existed to serve the podcast. Then, over time, I began adding links to interesting things I found on the web and a few articles here and there on podcasting and my real life. These days you’re getting any or all of those plus full-blown articles about things that are way to heavy topic-wise especially when compared to our show.
The blog is not an accurate reflection of what the podcast is. The site and show co-exist in two different forms but not in the same function. I want people to feel the same visiting this site as they do when they’re listening to the show… and vice versa.
Some of the best parts of the show have been your stories, input, comments and voice mails. I’m going to start featuring listener submitted stories, possibly with some written commentary. This will give others a chance to add your own comments and cracks. Maybe we’ll read a few of them on the show. I’m thinking about illustrating the odd story web comic style. I’d like to do more NLCastTV videos as well as Photoshop contests, photo captioning games, polls and the like. Doesn’t that seem like something the website of Nobody’s Listening Podcast would have on it? I think so too.
What ideas do you have to bring the podcast and the website closer together? Post your thoughts in the comments.
