Are you reading Harry Potter?

My wife and I are both reading through the latest HP book… the same book. It’s a little difficult sharing but as long as she leaves my toilet paper bookmark in there we’re good.

We picked it up last weekend and she’s already in the last few chapters. I’m getting less access to it than I’d like so I’m still in Chapter 7.

Are you reading? Where are you? What do you think? Leave a comment and let us know.

UPDATE: My wife finished the book tonight. Now it’s all mine!!

I enjoyed it! The ending is completely satisfying. I love how J.K. completely explained everything and tied up all loose ends. The only part I didn’t like (don’t worry I’m not giving anything away.) is pretty much a whole series of chapters where it’s just WHERE ARE WE GOING, WHAT ARE WE DOING, HOW ARE WE GOING TO DO IT for a very long time.

I just finished it last night. My advice is to not stop reading during the last 100 pages. So much happens and you don’t want to break it up.

I finished it the day after it the day after it came out, i thought it was a superb book although there were some spots that just made me go, “Huuh?!?!?!?!?”, there’s my 2 cents.

I’m going to stop what I’m doing right now and go read!

My daughter is a HUGE fan! I took her to get the last book at midnight, it was alot of fun. She wanted to get refreshed on book #6, so she read it again..now she is in the last book and PROMISES to tell me everything! I know I should read it for myself; but just NOT finding out the ending on the internet and waiting for her to share with me is very exciting.

I totally agree with Lauren. I am currently in the midst of the “what are we doing…” bit of the book. Big bit of the book. I got a little bored with it so I stopped reading so fast, but you guys have inspired me to persevere.

on chapter 20, great so far. except that i haven’t read the other ones since like two years ago, so i don’t necessarily remember everything.

My entire family had it read within 72 hours (my daughter in 24!), and no one could talk about it around me until I read it–so I finally finished it last night under duress! It was a good book, and I’m glad she cleared up a few things. Happenings started going fast, but that makes sense, once you get there, it makes sense. I had to go back a bit and re-read some pages, simply because I had skipped over them in my hurry to get to “the good part”. Then I realized the good part didn’t make as much sense until I read the slower parts. Hang in there Aimee!

Gosh, I’m such a slacker…I’m still not done..about to start the infamous last 100 though. Must have something to do with having a daughter who’s turning 1 in a few days!

I’m not done either. But it’s not for lack of trying.

Around page 690, it starts getting intense.
